Thank you from Anne Ritchie-Nahuis

I want to thank everyone for their support at Saturday’s Rally. It was quite an overwhelming day. So much support and excitement – it meant so much – I could hardly cope with my emotions.

Today I will be represented by Sean Dewart, Steven Shrybman & Tim Gleason of Sack Goldblatt Mitchell. Vicki Monague is represented by Peter Rosenthal of Roach, Schwartz & Associates

We will be at the courthouse for our 10am proceeding with our legal counsel. Unfortunately, this type of hearing centres on technical legal issues, not on judging the bigger impacts of Site 41, and the squandering of a tremendous water resource. It is, however, an important step.

The ruling authority today will not have probably seen Site 41 or know why many law-abiding citizens would suffer much anxiety and risk a criminal record to stop construction. These arguments will not be important in the end – today.

Our water is not as important as it should be, as proven time and time again in Walkerton, and in Perkinsfield and in locations all over Ontario. We have no idea of how these projects have negatively impacted the health and welfare of Ontarians.

Unfortunately because of the County of Simcoe, citizens will be forced to move forward with other political actions, legal challenges and waste more money because of the failure of 16 people to see the truth.

We will continue to stand up for our rights to maintain water resources for our children and our children’s children for many generations.

This is just the beginning!

Thanks so much,
Anne Ritchie-Nahuis

I am so proud to even be associated with you ladies! To be so strong and to fight for what you believe in is an admirable quality that more people should possess. We (the protestors) are all beside and behind you 100% and will support each other until the end….WHEN SITE 41 IS SHUT DOWN PERMANENTLY.
Lots of love to both of you.

Public support is growing by the hour, as evidenced by the Facebook Group, the online petition, the online polls and the sudden wave of media attention – today alone the legislative petition has increased by over 3 full pages – on the efforts of one petitioner and a lot of supporters!!!

You have the support of the people – the County does not.

The consequences of this to the politicians should be self evident.
